Services

THRIVE Therapy is proud to offer Occupational, Physical, and Speech therapy.

Please refer to the "Contact" tab to learn more information about getting started.

We are participating providers for the Step Up for Students/FES-UA Scholarship! Children are able to use these funds for therapy services. Anyone (including a parent) can refer a child for services. Call us to schedule an evaluation!

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy focuses on activities of daily living and any meaningful occupation of a child. Some areas of concentration include sensory processing, fine motor skills, social engagement, and self-care skills. A typical session may begin in our sensory gym for input and regulation as well as increase strength and body awareness. Our unique space allows for maximum sensory input to change brain chemistry and improve circuitry. When ready, your therapist may migrate to higher level executive functioning skills that include sequencing, problem solving, working memory, and flexible thinking in

one of our treatment rooms or at our fine motor table.

Areas of specialty include but are not limited to:

Fine Motor Skills, Attention, Visual Skills, Social/Social emotional skills, Activities of Daily Living, Sensory Processing, Handwriting, Executive Functioning Skills, Bilateral coordination, Dexterity, Range of Motion, Strength, Nutrition/Feeding, Reflexes, Environmental Adaptations,

Visual Motor Integration

Physical therapy

Physical Therapy targets gross motor movement, coordination and balance. Concentration is on impairment of movement that leads to functional limitations. Through play and exploration, your child's Physical Therapist will help them build the strength, body awareness, motor coordination, balance, range of motion, and confidence to achieve age-appropriate functional independence. Our extensive sensory space promotes a naturally rewarding environment while utilizing neuroplasticity-based therapy.

This allows for maximum development of all systems.

Areas of specialty include but are not limited to:

Muscle Tone & strength, Endurance, Neuromuscular Function, Balance, Gross Motor Development, Gait Training, Posture/Postural control, Range of Motion, Overall Coordination, Flexibility, Environmental Adaptations,

Locomotion Patterns

speech therapy

Speech Therapy is the assessment and treatment of communication problems and speech disorders. Your child's highly trained speech-language pathologist will help create an individualized plan of care consisting of exercises and treatment techniques that address your child's specific needs. This can include receptive and expressive language. We also focus on social communication skills. Our open gym concept allows children the opportunity to explore with peers and learn the basic skills of theory of mind, self-regulation, and overall awareness. This improves overall communication processing. With early intervention, speech therapy can also boost self-esteem and confidence. Through play and enjoyable exercises, we aim for increased interaction with the child and their world in turn forming meaningful relationships.

Areas of specialty include but are not limited to:

Receptive/expressive language, Attention, Hearing, Swallowing/Feeding, Oral motor abilities, Social Language, Apraxia, Executive Functioning Skills, Articulation Disorder, Fluency, Cognitive Communication Disorder, Cognition, Strengthening, Auditory Processing, Resonance

ADOS-2 testing

ADOS-2 Testing Now Available!

We now have a certified clinician trained in administering the ADOS-2 assessment.

The ADOS-2 is considered the gold standard in the assessment of ASD and is designed for individuals as young as 12 months through adulthood. The ADOS-2 is an activity-based assessment administered by a trained clinician. Although we are a pediatric therapy clinic, we offer this service for ages 12 months through adulthood.

This assessment is one important piece of an ASD diagnosis.
